that said
new year, over a month ago now, was brilliant! for the first time. I was with him, the couples were congregated, as were many others. the drinks were flowing, the piano was used. i danced, i argued, i laughed very very quickly, and we stayed up till seven with the real boys, lamenting the useless ones, and listening to nina simone. we said goodbye to the latest years, and i'm glad they were seen out properly considering the following fortnights news of the split. not ours, but the begining of new ground. scary. but the party was perfect.
